Brooklyn
Ariana is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Brooklyn State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,350. The registrar has said Ariana can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ariana has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ariana would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ariana isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Brooklyn State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,350 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,250 • Final term tuition: $2,500 • Exam and lab fees: $260 • Textbooks and materials: $340 Thank you so much.
