A first-generation student, Araceli needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an electrical engineering diploma.

Araceli is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Buenos Aires State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,600.
The registrar has said Araceli can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Araceli has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Araceli would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Araceli isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $670
• Final term tuition: $830
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $70

How is Araceli doing now?
You're not alone, Dolores. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Kathmandu but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Kathmandu!
Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
