Adrian is one semester away from finishing an electrical engineering diploma but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $1,400.

Adrian is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Augusta Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,400.
The registrar has said Adrian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Adrian has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Adrian would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Adrian isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $110
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,150
• Textbooks and materials: $140
Thanks for being kind about this.

This could happen to any of us. After 12 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Augusta.
Thanks for sharing this, Amber. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Best of luck, Amber. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
