Omondi needs a communication tablet with eye tracking - help us make it happen
A communication tablet with eye tracking would give Omondi independence - we're $1,150 away.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Kampala Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $1,050
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $55
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Rooting for you, Omondi. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side
Hang in there, Omondi. Hope you get there. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Omondi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 15 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
Wishing you the best, Omondi. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Take care.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Kampala.
