Nur's acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment fund
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Jakarta Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In March I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. My oncology team at the Jakarta Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in June. I was told to expect about 12 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 28, I worked as a shop owner until March, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Jakarta Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to the Jakarta Oncology Institute: $180
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $140
• Household costs while unable to work: $390
With deep gratitude,
Nur

is there anything that isn't money that would help Nur?
Wishing you peace, Nur. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in San Francisco this morning
Best of luck, Nur. Get well soon. My neighbor in Yonkers donated after I showed her your page. Blessings

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
Praying for you, Nur. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 29 people at work. All the best.
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Johannesburg
You're not alone, Nur. Wishing Nur a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 10 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Jakarta.
