Nora was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Leeds Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $5,950 short.
my mother has been in and out of Leeds Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Nora struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Nora won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
