Nolan was diagnosed with colon cancer in February. The oncology team at Rockford Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Nolan is 54, worked as a taxi driver until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rockford Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,250
• Scans and lab work: $1,750
• Transport to Rockford Regional Medical Center: $1,200
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $730
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,770
