Noel was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Pasig General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $870, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $650 short. my father has been in and out of Pasig General Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $870 is more than we can find. While we wait, Noel struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Noel won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $650 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $65 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $400 • Post-operative medication: $45 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $140 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
