Ngozi's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Ngozi was cleared for cataract surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Ngozi was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in December. The surgeon at Warri Community Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $600, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $300 short.
my sister has been in and out of Warri Community Hospital since December. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ngozi struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Ngozi won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $300 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $60
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
• Travel and lodging for the family: $30
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $165

gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 34 people at work. Thinking of Warri.
