Newcastle upon Tyne storm relief - the Millbrook neighborhood
Neighbors in the Millbrook neighborhood are rebuilding after the storm; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The storm hit the Millbrook neighborhood on 1 July. My home was one of 62 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,100
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $870
• Clean water and purification supplies: $380
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Praying for you, Majid. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Heraklion!
Thinking of you, Majid. Great idea, hope you get there. God bless
