Neighbors' Pantry: keep the shelves full this winter
Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Thane.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 333 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Thane market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $90
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
