Neema's multiple myeloma treatment fund
Neema is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇰🇪 Kenya387 views
Neema was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Machakos University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Neema is 52, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Machakos University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Transport to Machakos University Hospital: $85
• Household costs while unable to work: $220
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $560
• Scans and lab work: $335
Thank you so much.
