Neema can't leave home - help build a ramp

Neema uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Neema has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Neema can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Neema's family will cook lunch for the team. Glad we found this place.

  • thinking of you and your family. Wishing Neema a smooth procedure and a full recovery.

    • Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 13 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless

      • thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 5 people at work.

        • Hope things get better soon, John. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
