Nashik landslide relief - the Marketplace settlement
After the landslide, families in the Marketplace settlement need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The landslide hit the Marketplace settlement on 11 September. My home was one of 61 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $600 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $100
• Tools and labor for repairs: $300
• Food parcels for displaced families: $200
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Good luck, Kiara. This could happen to any of us.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 13 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Ikeja!
Hope things get better soon, Kiara. Hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Nashik
