Naresh was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in May. The oncology team at Bhaktapur Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Naresh is 54, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bhaktapur Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,200 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $850 • Household costs while unable to work: $270 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
