Naomi was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in January. The surgeon at Tallahassee University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $7,100 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Tallahassee University Hospital since January. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Naomi struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Naomi won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
