Nakato's a partial thyroidectomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Nakato was cleared for a partial thyroidectomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Nakato was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in November. The surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $600, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $300 short.
my sister has been in and out of Saint Matthew Hospital since November. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Nakato struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Nakato won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $300 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $195
