My tuk-tuk: Chidi's only way to earn a living
Chidi drives for a living in Ikeja, and a broken radiator and cooling system has stopped all income for 7 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the radiator and cooling system failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• radiator and cooling system replacement (parts): $150
• Labor charges: $30
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Towing and inspection: $30
I hope life is good to you.

keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Take care
Thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. Love from Toronto
Thanks for sharing this. Hope you get there. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Wishing you the best, Chidi. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Best of luck, Chidi. Small businesses are the heart of Ikeja. Hope you're open again soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
take care, Chidi. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out
