My school-run minibus: Teun's only way to earn a living
Teun drives for a living in Breda, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 3 weeks.
🇳🇱 Netherlands1,967 views
I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $550. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $550 goes:
• Labor charges: $350
• Towing and inspection: $65
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $135
Thank you so much.

Sending strength. Hope the shop reopens soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless!
is there anything that isn't money that would help Teun?
Thank you. If you're in Breda I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.
Thinking of you and your family, Teun. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings
Take care. Hope this works out for you. Don't give up. Love from San Jose.
Sending good thoughts, Teun. This could happen to any of us. After 26 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings!
Thanks for sharing this, Teun. This could happen to any of us.
rooting for you, Teun. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
