I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $850. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $850 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $250 • Labor charges: $210 • transmission replacement (parts): $390 Thank you so much.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Jimena. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like

    • Small businesses are the heart of Móstoles. Hope you're open again soon. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
