My school-run minibus: Araceli's only way to earn a living
Without my school-run minibus Araceli can't work; a $350 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 12 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $350 goes:
• rear axle replacement (parts): $230
• Labor charges: $60
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $10
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
you're not alone, Araceli. This could happen to any of us. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
best of luck, Araceli. Small businesses are the heart of Monterrey. Hope you're open again soon. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
