My ride-share car: Sebastián's only way to earn a living

Without my ride-share car Sebastián can't work; a $350 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $350 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $270 • Towing and inspection: $40 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 Every share and every dollar helps.

  • You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Envigado.
