My ride-share car: Bola's only way to earn a living
Bola drives for a living in Nnewi, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 4 weeks.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $200 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $75
• Labor charges: $60
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $30
• Towing and inspection: $35
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

sending love, Bola. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Tallahassee.
Hang in there. Hope the shop reopens soon. Put this on a community board in Lahore this morning. Blessings
