My pickup: Wangari's only way to earn a living
Without my pickup Wangari cannot work; a $100 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $100 goes:
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $15
Thanks for reading all this.

Good luck, Wangari. Hope this works out for you.
Take care. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Nairobi.
Praying for you, Wangari. Hope you get there. After 28 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Ribeirão Preto.
Sending good thoughts, Wangari. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. Blessings.
Best of luck, Wangari. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Mangaluru this morning
gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Bangkok donated after I showed her your page. All the best!
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Nairobi.
Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Johannesburg donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
