My pickup: Hellen's only way to earn a living
Without my pickup Hellen can't work; a $205 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $205. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $205 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $140
• Labor charges: $25
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $5
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Kakamega. I'll ask around and let you know.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Hellen.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. gearbox replacement (parts) is the biggest at $140. It helps to be asked.
stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Stay strong. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. All the best
Thinking of you and your family, Hellen. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Agra.
You're not alone, Hellen. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 17 people at work. Greetings from Dammam.
