My food truck: Todd's only way to earn a living
Todd drives for a living in Austin, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my food truck. 3 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• suspension replacement (parts): $790
• Labor charges: $220
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $260
• Towing and inspection: $130
I hope life is good to you.
- Todd

Hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Manukau.
