My food truck: Nnamdi's only way to earn a living
Nnamdi drives for a living in Ikeja, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 3 weeks.
🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria1,303 views
I make my living with my food truck. 3 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $260. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $260 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $185
• Labor charges: $45
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $25
• Towing and inspection: $5
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you, Nnamdi. Small businesses are the heart of Ikeja. Hope you're open again soon.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Juiz de Fora
good luck, Nnamdi. Hope the shop reopens soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Stay strong, Nnamdi. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Addis Ababa donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Addis Ababa.
