My delivery van: Jericho's only way to earn a living
Without my delivery van Jericho can't work; a $200 repair would put him back on the road.
🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines759 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $200 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $115
• Labor charges: $30
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Towing and inspection: $15

Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from San Jose.
Thinking of you and your family, Jericho. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Take care, Jericho. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Caloocan.
