I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Nairobi Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $450 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • pair of hearing aids: $360 • Delivery and set-up: $40 If you're reading this, thank you.
