Moving day volunteers: Ruth's family relocating in Sherbrooke
Moving day on Saturday: we need anyone with a van and ideally a van.
🇨🇦 Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada666 views
After my landlord sold the building, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Sherbrooke, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I hope life is good to you.

Best of luck, Ruth. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Kasarani
Sending strength, Ruth. Looking forward to the next update. Take care.
Hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Sherbrooke.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Wish I lived closer to Gwagwalada so I could bring a meal. Take care

Thinking of you, Ruth. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Nashik but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Nashik.
Praying for you. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Winnipeg donated after I showed her your page. God bless
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Sherbrooke.
