Moving day volunteers: Rebecca's family relocating in Birmingham
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Birmingham.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Birmingham, and the lease starts on Friday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope things get better soon, Rebecca. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
