Moving day volunteers: Raymond's family relocating in Miami

Raymond has found a safe new apartment in Miami and needs help moving heavy furniture on Monday.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Miami, and the lease starts on Monday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for four volunteers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Thank you so much.

Hope things get better soon, Raymond. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
