Moving day volunteers: Petra's family relocating in Kassel
Moving day on Thursday: we need four volunteers and ideally a van.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Kassel, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for four volunteers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Petra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

Hope things get better soon, Petra. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Nagpur!
