Moving day volunteers: Erik's family relocating in Gothenburg

Moving day on Sunday: we need 3-4 helpers and ideally a van.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Gothenburg, and the lease starts on Sunday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Stay strong, Erik. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Hồ Chí Minh City.

    • You're not alone, Erik. Looking forward to the next update.

      • I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Greetings from Cartagena.

        • Hang in there, Erik. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

Stay strong, Erik. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Bacolod.

            • Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
