Mónica's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Mónica won a place at Barranquilla Technical College but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at Barranquilla Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love coding and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• School uniform and shoes: $50
• Textbooks and workbooks: $70
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $30
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
