Moin was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Lahore University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Moin is 39, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lahore University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $780
• Transport to Lahore University Hospital: $65
• Scans and lab work: $105
