Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Victor in Lagos
Help Victor get a stair-climbing aid so He can attend work interviews.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,006 views
Victor lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Lagos Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Victor could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $400 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $310
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $25
With deep gratitude,
Damilola

Hope it all works out, Damilola. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Stay strong, Damilola. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Dundee.
