Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Upendo in Nairobi
Upendo needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system will not fund; the cost is $350.

Upendo lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Nairobi Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Upendo could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $350 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• stair-climbing aid: $290
• First-year servicing plan: $25
I hope life is good to you.

Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
