Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Theodore in Anaheim
A stair-climbing aid would give Theodore independence - we're $5,250 away.
🇺🇸 United States1,500 views
Theodore lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Anaheim General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,250.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Theodore could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,250 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $4,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $400
• Delivery and set-up: $180
• First-year servicing plan: $370
With deep gratitude,
Eli

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. stair-climbing aid comes first ($4,300) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
