Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Samuel in Ribeirão Preto
Help Samuel get a stair-climbing aid so He can go to school independently.
🇧🇷 São Paulo, Brazil955 views
Samuel lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Ribeirão Preto Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,250.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Samuel could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $65
• First-year servicing plan: $95
• stair-climbing aid: $1,090
Glad we found this place.
