Rudi lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Makassar Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Rudi could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $600 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $500
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $20
