Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Neema in Mombasa
Help Neema get a stair-climbing aid so She can join the school sports day.
🇰🇪 Kenya1,551 views
Neema lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Mombasa Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Neema could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Neema?
Thank you. If you're in Mombasa I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope it all works out, Salim. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. It's not much but it's yours
hope the doctors have good news. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Mombasa.
