Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Juma in Mombasa
A stair-climbing aid would give Juma independence - we're $100 away.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Mombasa Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $30
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $25
Thanks for being kind about this.
