Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Isabella in Bakersfield
Isabella needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $8,000.

Isabella lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Bakersfield Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,000.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Isabella could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $8,000 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $330
• stair-climbing aid: $7,500
• Delivery and set-up: $170
