Jakarta Barat
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Jakarta Barat Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $450 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $430 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • Fitting and training sessions: $5 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Dwi

  1. Quick update: $131 raised so far (29%). I made the first payment toward stair-climbing aid. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
