Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Alejandra in Hialeah
Alejandra needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $650.

Alejandra lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Hialeah Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Alejandra could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $650 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $290
• Delivery and set-up: $160
• Fitting and training sessions: $200

Sending love, Héctor. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
