Waleed lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Shubra Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,250. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Waleed could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
