I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Guadalajara Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,200.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $90
• Fitting and training sessions: $45

Sure. The biggest one is first-year servicing plan, $90. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
