Mobility fund: specialist standing frame for Lucas in Mohammedia
Help Lucas get a specialist standing frame so He can attend work interviews.
🇲🇦 Casablanca-Settat, Morocco615 views
Lucas lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Mohammedia Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Lucas could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $800 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $690
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $40
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
- Philippe

Hope things get better soon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Take care
