Mobility fund: specialist standing frame for Lakshmi in Mumbai
Help Lakshmi get a specialist standing frame so She can attend work interviews.
🇮🇳 India270 views
Lakshmi lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Mumbai Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Lakshmi could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $25
With deep gratitude,
Vasanthi
